Festival Star V1.0.1 Upgrade

As you may or may not know, V1.0.1 is now available in the AppStore! While this new version brings new features and fixes bugs from V1.0, from the reviews in the AppStore and tweets we've been receiving it's apparent that a small number of people are suffering some mild headaches related to the upgrade.

The quality of Festival Star, both the app itself and the data provided through it, are our #1 concern. We take our work and your experience using Festival Star very seriously. We test our app using an emulator, 3G and 3GS handsets on varying iPhone OS's, with network/without network etc. However it's never the same as releasing to hundreds of people with different configurations and environments.

If you are suffering issues during app start up after upgrading you can simply un-install and then re-install the app. This generally fixes the issue. You will need to log back in but none of your data (favorites, friends etc) will be lost.

It's important that you let the app finish updating during the first start-up each day. If you don't want this to happen so often you can turn it off in the settings.

If you continue to experience problems or would just like to get in touch there's a number of ways you can do this:

- https://festivalstar.uservoice.com - this is a UserVoice forum - you can simply provide suggestions/feedback and we can respond. The good thing about this is that we can keep track of peoples communication and make sure we get on top of it.

- Twitter @festivalstar - please follow us and if you have anything you'd like to chat about feel free to tap us up. We love interacting with the crowd, we've had some amazing suggestions and feedback from our followers on Twitter and hope this continues.

- Email: support@theguidestar.com - We'll respond as quick as we can with whatever query you have.

We're probably going to be releasing another 2 upgrades before Glasto and will be publishing the data for Download today (so it will be available for you when your app updates tomorrow) and we're preparing to publish loads more festivals very soon.

In the mean time we're going to be interviewed about Festival Star on BBC Radio Sussex on Tuesday morning at 8:30 - don't expect much - that's way too early, but it should provide for some level of entertainment.

We won't be sending too many emails in the future (except for things like friend requests) as we know it can be annoying, we'll also never use your information for anything other than Festival Star related news/info/support.

Thanks for reading, bring on the sunshine!!
